Being a Teacher in Ireland – an introductory course to the Irish Education System

This introductory course is aimed at teachers from Ukraine currently living in Ireland who are registered with the Teaching Council and working in Irish schools, or hoping to do so shortly. It will provide an overview of the Irish education system to help build additional knowledge, skills and confidence to enhance their professional growth.

The course will commence in November 2022 and run throughout December. Depending on the participants’ circumstances, content will be offered in-person at MIE, online or blended. The course is funded by the European Commission under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020, through the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. There is no fee for participants and assistance for travel can be offered when in person sessions take place.
